Mr. Iftikhar Ali Shallwani is a Pakistani civil servant and administrator. He is from Pakistan Administrative Service (erstwhile DMG)- 20th Common. BS-22 Federal Secretary, currently serving as Secretary Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination, Islamabad.

He studied at the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro where he got his MBBS degree in 1990. He did his Master’s in Regional and Urban Planning Studies and completed his degree in 2005 from London School of Economics, UK.

Mr. Shallwani successfully completed his Central Superior Services Examination in 1993 and was selected as a DMG (District Management Group) Officer. He served as Assistant Commissioner Rawalpindi/Islamabad / Isa Khel, Deputy commissioner Jafferabad- Baluchistan, Additional Chief Secretary Sindh, Secretary, investment/Board of Investment Sindh, Secretary Health, Sindh, Secretary Law, Sindh, Commercial Counselor -Argentina (2007-2013) accredited to Peru, Ecuador, Chile and Uruguay, Additional Secretary-Ministry of Industries (2017-18), Commissioner/Administrator Karachi (2018-2020) and Additional Secretary, Ministry of Interior (2021). Special Health Secretary for the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordinate 2021-22, Ministry of Housing and works (2022-23).

Mr. Shallwani has vast experience of International Relations, Public Policies, Human Rights, Foreign Policy, and Economic Development. He speaks fluent English and Spanish.
